A lace dress, a gorgeous bathtub, and lots of tropical greenery - plus a stunning expecting mother. These are the magical ingredients that make up this maternity milk bath session in Sarasota. Silvana and her husband are what we in the wedding industry call "friendors". They are an extremely talented couple running a successful wedding film and photo business with clients all over the country. Silvana and I bonded on social media over the challenges we have been facing as wedding vendors during the COVID situation, and this shoot was our first time meeting in person. It was so much fun to do something beautiful and whimsical to commemorate her last pregnancy. Maternity is one of my favorite genres. Many women report feeling less than glamorous as they get closer to their due date. Maternity sessions present an opportunity to create something whimsical and ethereal, and I jump at the chance for that whenever I can. I love capturing the combination of earth goddess femininity and life bringing power of pregnancy, and just documenting this brief but unforgettable time in the life of a family. It's an amazing feeling to see the look on the faces of my sweet clients when they see their own beauty starting at them from their maternity photos. By the time the baby is born, I am so excited to meet the new little addition and start getting them used to being in front of the camera, starting with their newborn session!
