Bethany + Paul
Paul is the kind of guy who plants a whole field of sunflowers for his bride to be - in the Florida heat, over and over until they take. Bethany is an ethereal goddess, and as down to earth as she is strikingly beautiful. Their wedding took place at Diamond C Ranch - as rustic barn venue in Myakka, Florida. The venue grounds are filled with great big mossy oaks, and the property is situated in such a way that in the last 90 minutes before sunset, the sunlight streams through the trees at the perfect angle, illuminating the draping moss in a warm and romantic glow. It was the perfect setting for a romantic event such as this one. The bride arrived to the ceremony on horseback - a surprise for the groom. The double wooden doors at the back of the ceremony site swung open to reveal Bethany standing there on her Father's arm, in a strapless, fitted lace gown with an off-the-shoulder tulle cape flowing gracefully behind her. The blush bridesmaids dresses and soft, pastel colored florals rounded off the look beautifully. The look of awe and pure love on Paul's face when he saw his bride making her entrance was so touching. After a ceremony that was both emotional and full of humor, we were able to really take advantage of the wooded property during golden hour for family, wedding party, and couple portraits. As a wedding photographer, my favorite part of every wedding is the time I get to spend with the couple, creating magical memories that will be framed, displayed on walls, and cherished for generations to come. The reception that followed was filled with laughter and tears during the speeches, an impressive choreographed first dance, a guest appearance by a T-Rex, and a grilled cheese food truck. It doesn't get much better than that!
